Formulation Tips
Heating is required upon melting (~ 60oC) and mixed with other fatty ingredients and added to the hot aqueous phase. Recommended level use: 0.5-6% w/w.
It is an anionic monoester of stearic acid with glycerin. It is an O / W emulsifier and can be used as it is or as a co-emulsifier to adjust the viscosity of the final product. It is incorporated in face care products providing stability to the final emulsion.
