It is added to the final phase of the cosmetic formulation, at the cooling stage, 1-3% w/w.
Hydration patch is a molecular network of natural polysaccharides (hyaluronic acid, pullulan, alginate) with a high concentration of a hydrating complex containing glycerine, serine, trehalose and urea. It has a double action: on the surface of the skin the polysaccharides form a protective molecular matrix that reduces the loss of moisture. Then the moisturizing complex is gradually released into the heart of the stratum corneum to balance skin's moisture.
